The Succubus Brood is an independant Zerg faction lead by the Infested Terran, Lilith Naamah.
The Succubus Brood's Faction color is pearl.
Overview[]
The Succubus Brood excels at the arts of scouting and reconnaissance. Lacking the destructive capabilities of most of the larger Zerg Broods due to its relatively small size, the Succubus Brood has directed its attention to the Fringe Worlds and other small Terran settlements. The Brood would usually implant itself behind enemy lines, striking at infrastructure until the enemy collapsed in on itself, at which time it would assimilate the entire colony into its massive forces of infested prey. Due to its specialized nature, the Brood makes extensive use of Queens and Chokers. Direct confrontation is mostly seen as a last resort for the renegade brood.
History[]
The Brood launched an invasion of the planet Grus but was stymied by the efforts of the Rhel'Kaeli Protoss protecting the planet under the dictates of the Dae'uhl. The counterstrike, masterminded by the Saven'rii Praetor Rhevnis, effectively crippled the Succubus forces, and sent them retreating back to their scattered hives.
The current whereabouts of the Succubus Brood are unknown. It is thought that Lilith is planning some new invasion scheme.

- The Mangler is a ground superiority assault unit utilized by the Succubus Brood.
- The Hunterling is an agile ambush unit, engineered by the Succubus Brood to swiftly overtake a position.
- The Choker is the Succubus adaptation of the Infestor.
- The Crushers are used as the guardians of key locations for the Succubus Brood.
- The Stigmalisk is the Succubus adaptation of the Ultralisk.
- The Viralisk is a mobile infestation strain employed by the Succubus Brood to quickly convert enemy Terran to the Zerg cause.
Trivia[]
The Succubus Brood is named after the Succubus; a demon in female form said to drain the life-force of men through intimate physical contact.
