The Hive is, in a general sense, an enclosed structure in which the greater whole of a Shivitiri Colony lives and raises their young.
The naturally occuring nesting sites of Shivitiri are primarily caves and rock cavities. The nests are composed of multiple cells and chambers, connected through an underground tunnel network. The nest usually has a single main entrance. The basic nest architecture among all Shivitiri is similar: nectar is stored in the upper chambers of the Hive; beneath it are rows of mineral and resource storage cells, drone-brood cells, and worker-brood cells, in that order. The queen cells are normally built at the lowest Chamber of the Hive.
