Jade Agents are a counter intelligence group formed by the Umojan Protectorate in response to growing use of Ghosts.
Tried of constant attacks by Dominion covert ops and assassinations, the Protectorate formed this group to help counteract and in rare cases capture enemy psychics assassins. Most members are volunteers in order to avoid controversy and ensure better loyalty than mindwipes and resocialization. Though all highly trained in combat the decreasing hostilities after the second Great war meant an increased need for diplomacy especially with the Protoss. So the current head of the program were told to add peacekeeping skills to their training.
If forced into combat, Jade Agents are roughly equal to the most powerful of Dominion Ghosts in a straight up fight. Equipped with an advanced psionic suit, users are more geared toward front-line battles while maintaining maximum mobility. All agents have a type of prototype Hardlight armor appearing as glowing green plates hence the name Jade Agent. This hardlight plating can withstand most small caliber rounds until needing time to recharge. A high powered sniper round will penetrate a fully charged Jade Agent if they are not careful enough. To circumvent this flaw, some take extensive ESP training to predict surprise attacks. A fully trained Agent can walk into a hailstorm of bullets and remain untouched while at the same time perform either diplomacy or plan strategy.
For weapons, Agents are equipped with a hardlight rod that can emulate a large variety of melee weapons depending on the user's skill, imagination, and focus. In most cases, they stick to a sword or quarterstaff. When dealing with ranged attacks, Jade Agents can focus their psionic energies to unleash a wave of destruction in a slashing movement with the rod in sword form. This wave is strong enough to take out small fighters in one strike or cripple a Battlecruiser. In extreme cases, Jade Agents can form a type of hardlight fighter to either take down hard targets or make a quick escape. If all this fails, they can use reverse engineered Blink technology to unleash a series of nerve strikes against enemy forces disabling entire armies in order to force them back to the negotiation table. This makes the Jade Agent's compassion equally as intimidating as its deadliness on the battlefield.
Special abilities:
- PHOTONIC SLASH - unleashes a slash attack dealing 800 (+200 vs massive) damage
- LUX DRAGON - changes Jade Agent into a hardlight fighter jet with +500 shield and can attack both air and ground targets
- ESP (passive) - unit has 20% chance to dodge normal attacks. Can not dodge explosive splash or area effect attacks
- NERVE BLITZ (Ultimate) - Agent teleports around the map stunning enemy forces for 10 minutes
