The United Earth Directorate is a Terran government situated on Earth.
After first contact with extraterrestrial life by citizens in the Koprulu Sector, the UED sent an expeditionary force to reclaim the colonies and take control of the Zerg. Their attempt met with failure and it is unknown if any news of the Brood War reached Earth.
The remnants of the expeditionary force exist in small cells and mercenary groups working outside Dominion space.
